I think I finally found a name for this blog I'm satisfied with
"I think if we were given the Scriptures, it was not so that we could prove that we were right about everything. If we were given the Scriptures it was to humble us into realizing that God is right and the rest of us are just guessing."

I like the name. It works.
Thanks man, I still haven't gotten around to getting out my notes and writing about this book i've been reading, but I found an interesting quote from a review of Genesis and the Big Bang that makes me excited to read that book too:
What Schroeder argues, basically, is that the biblical account of creation in six days can be read as taking place over six _literal_ days -- and that not only does this reading fail to conflict with modern science, indeed science itself supports that reading. The solution? The six days are "God's time," reckoned from within one frame of reference, and the millions of years with which science deals are "earth time," reckoned from within another.
it has been awhile since I've read it, and I don't really remember where my copy is, but I do remember that I enjoyed that book a lot and found it helpful.
